Cowards, huh?

So the Attorney General, Eric Holder, gave a speech last week in commemoration of Black History Month. His topic was no other than race. His punch line was we are a " nation of cowards". Wow! It did not get too many laughs.

Let me understand Attorney General Holder, because we do not talk about race we are cowards. Because I do not make a big deal about race, we are cowards. Because I view all as equal and do not place anyone on a pedastal we are cowards. If this true then sign me up. I am coward, died in the wool thru and thru.

I have always thought regardless of the hand you are dealt you live in a land of opportunity. It is all about choice my friends. You can continue to play the cards you dealt or trade them all in for a new hand. That is what makes America great, we have freedom, we have opportunities, we have choice.

So many came here for that exact hand for them to hold. All they needed was a land of opportunity and they could create a great harvest from it. For those that came in bondage, many of their posterity fought for their own freedom and their own rights as well as the future generations freedoms and rights. Now their children and grandchildren still want to live like their earlist ancestors who came here in bondage and proclaim they have no rights, that life is unequal. What a shame to live a life in vain for what their grandparents did for them.
